In this project, we aim to improve the mental health of disadvantaged individuals who have experienced traumas such as natural disasters and gender discrimination. In 2021, the WHO reported that 100 million people living with depression in Europe did not receive the care they needed. The project will focus on developing mental health-related skills within the target audience removing barriers like stigma and cost, and supporting access through digitalization and adult participation in education.
An questionnaire will be conducted to determine the needs of the target audience and evaluate the work.Educational modules will be prepared.An module and website will be developed.A Mental Health Literacy Booklet will be created.An Earthquake and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Workshop and Nature Walk with Earthquake Survivors will be organized in Turkey.A Trauma and Breath Education Workshop will be held in Spain.Art Therapy Workshop Activities for Trauma will be organized in Portugal.
The knowledge and expectations of adults regarding mental health literacy will be determined, and their effects will be evaluated at the end.A standardized training module for adult education will be created.Through seminars and training sessions, adults' mental health literacy skills will improve.A structured (understandable and broken down into small steps) E-Learning module will reach a wider audience.Workshops and a Mental Health Guide Booklet will increase awareness in the community.
